Little Blessings

My kids are amazing! They are such blessings to Andrew and me.
Lately Lance has been just amazing. He is all about pleasing mommy and daddy. He loves having days where he doesn't get in trouble at all. He gets so proud of himself! Every time he opens his mouth I am just blown away by what comes out. He is so sweet, considerate and smart. The other day while holding my Bible he says, "this is my Bible. It tells me what to do!" Then while looking in the back at a picture of Solomon's temple he says "I am going to build a dog house like this!"
He always puts a smile on my face. Last nigh he dressed himself. He had on checkered shorts and a camo shirt. I asked him if he matched. He took a long look at his outfit and said, "not really but Im pretty awesome!" Man, I love this kid so much!
Lance is such a giver. It melts my heart when he offers me the last piece of him or his only piece of candy. At 3, he is more giving then most adults I know.
Lexie is my lover! She is so sweet! I can't tell you how many time throughout the day she will run up and say, " I Wuv you!" And then give me the biggest hug!
She can definitely be a bit sassy at times. Yesterday at gymnastics a little girl had a pair of boots just like hers. Lexie just knew the little girl had stole her boots. She sat glaring at the little girl's mom with her arms crossed. It was pretty funny!
I have two awesome kids. I love listening to them play with each other. Lance really takes care of his little sister. She is so polite. I will hear her say, "thank you, Wance, I Wuv you!"
I am loving the little people they are becoming! Thank you, God for these little blessings in my life!

Single mom

Lately I have been feeling like a single mom, and I hate it! I miss my husband so much and these kids miss their dad.
Tuesday after a trip to the grocery store I was putting away groceries and realize that my fridge had bit the dust. It was awful!! Blood was running down the back of the freezer and into my fridge. I hurried and called the property manager then called the doctor's office to cancel and yet again reschedule Lexie's 2 year check up. I spent the rest of the morning keeping the kids out of the kitchen cleaning up the horrible stinky mess. I threw the groceries I had just bought in a cooler and was wishing for some ice when I looked around and realized "I don't need ice! I am surrounded by snow!" The snow worked great till the next morning when the new fridge showed up.
Wednesday evening Andrew got home. We were super excited for a 4 day weekend. That is, until he was told he would be leaving Friday afternoon for the North Slope. I was so bummed. I had a Pampered Chef party Thursday night at a assisted living home. I felt I couldn't cancel since this was special needs people. I held back the tears all the way to my show. At the show I had a great time. I really enjoyed working with the women as we prepared the food. They had invited their families to come and the workers were there also. They had a great show and earned tons of free product for their kitchen. They can't wait to start baking for the next bake sale.
Friday, Andrew had to go into work to get clean uniforms and pack up tools. The kids and I picked him up and ate lunch with him. Andrew told Lance that he was leaving for a little bit again. Lance didn't cry but he said over and over again "I don't want you to leave, daddy! I'll miss you!" It was hard on all of us. I tried to change the subject numerous times and give Lance something else to focus on but it didn't matter. Andrew was tore up! He hates being away. It was till we dropped Andy at the airport that Lexie realized what was going on. She cried and screamed "I want to come with daddy! Where daddy go?"
What's worse is that rite after dropping him off she had he two year check and was due for a shot. She didn't great at her doctor's appointment. I held her down for her shot and she yelled "ouch! She hurt me!" I held her close as she looked at the nurse and gave her a dirty look and said "you're mean!" Haha it was kinda funny. Lexie is in the top 95% for height and weight! She is a big girl! But I already knew that.
It has been rough juggling everything at the house all by myself. Thank God for the gym. When I am getting frustrated I go workout and feel so much better!
We face time with daddy every night but it just isn't the same! Poor Andy looks beat. He is on his 4th week of 12+ hours a day. Up on the slope the temperature has been -30 and worse. One day it was -48 with a wind chill of -78. He gets to work in a heated shop so I am so thankful for that. Also he is fed super great! At this point we don't know when he will be home. They said one week but as it gets closer to Friday it looks like maybe next week.
We can't wait for daddy to get home. We have a super fun family trip planned. It will be so awesome to relax and spend time with daddy!
This past weekend I booked my parents tickets to come visit us! They will arrive on Lance's birthday and be staying 10 days! We are so excited! Then a couple errors later grandpa and grandma Conway and Uncle Timothy will be flying up for a week! We have so much fun stuff planned for this summer; fishing trips, whale watching, moose hunts, etc....

Love technology

We have really enjoyed daddy having his iPod. Every night we FaceTime him. Tonight Lance fell asleep early so Lexie had daddy to herself. They have each other lots of kisses and Lexie showed daddy all her stuffed animals. These last two weeks have seemed to take forever! We really miss daddy.
As bad as it may seem to me, I have to be so thankful that he is only gone for two weeks. A new friend of mine's husband left the same day as Andrew. He will be back in May and when he returns they will be packing up and moving to Northern California. You see, they are a military family. He will be re stationed in California and then be off again leaving them to readjust to their new life. When I want to have a pitty party for myself I just think of our military families. We are surrounded by them and just in the short time we have been in Alaska have seen so many families come and go. I am so grateful for our military men and women and the sacrifices they make!
Tonight I am so thankful for technology to keep in touch with loved ones and our military who protect us.

Spoiled Rotten

Yesterday was Valentine's day and the kids and are were showered with gifts. My day started off by getting a phone call that I had some items waiting for me at Eagle River Candy & Gifts. The kids and I went and picked up our gifts that Daddy had ordered for us. I got a dozen of some amazing chocolate covered strawberries, and the kids got a little heart shaped box full of candies. Even though daddy couldn't be with us he made sure we had felt extra special!
A little later there was a knock on the door from the fed ex guy. The fed ex guy always means one of two things; Pampered chef or a package from grandma and grandpa Conway. This time it was Both! We immediately opened up the package from Grandma and Grandpa. They sent the kids a heart shaped box of chocolates, a card, and like always stickers. The kids love getting packages!!!
Lance had a special Valentine's play date yesterday. His best friend Elena came over for a Valentine's play date. She was absolutely adorable. She dressed herself in the cutest little dress and even high heel shoes. Her mom said she wanted to look pretty for Lance. The kids had a great time!
We had one more surprise for the day. Aunt juju sent the kids a package full of goodies! She even included a box of dove chocolates for me!
The kids and I were spoiled rotten on Valentine's day!! We all were put in a sugar coma and took a long nap. We had such a great day and was definitely showed lots of love.
Daddy's package arrived in Cordova! He loved his cookies and his giant Reese's Peanut butter cup. He loved the iPod even more because I had put lots of pictures of the kids and I on it. He stared at the pictures as he talked to me on the phone. He didn't say anything for a second and I ask him what it was. He said, "You really are the most beautiful woman I've ever met!" It was really sweet. I told him he was crazy and he just thought that because he had been staring at a bearded old guy for two weeks.
Some people think Valentina's day is corny but I love it. It's a great day to show the ones you care about that you love hem and they are special!

The latest happenings

We are counting down the days till daddy gets home. It just isn't the same without him. We have are routine through the week, but part of the routine is daddy coming home in the evenings and spending time with him. The weekends are pretty boring without him too!
Sunday night the kids and I made some no bake cookies to mail to daddy's hotel down in Cordova. We made a sweet package just for him for Valentine's day. We packed the cookies, an iPod and charger, and a giant Reese's peanut butter cup in the package with our home made Valentine's day cards. The package should arrive today which will make a nice surprise for my home sick honey!
Baby Addy got to go home today after being in the hospital for a whole week. She is doing so good! Praise God for his healing hand.
The kids are being their silly selves as usual. I bought a vacuum the other day and last night Lance decided he wanted to sleep in the box. He lasted about five minutes and then said, "I guess boxes aren't for sleeping in."
I was reading him his bed time story last night and he wanted just one more story. I agreed to a story if he would give me a kiss. He gave me a big ole kiss and then said, "mom, that was great! I'm never gonna wipe it off!"
Lexie loves Mr Potato head and loves to wear his glasses. She likes to hold up his arms and wave at me why saying "good by" or "hello". Lexie also has a baby doll she loves to take everywhere. I have noticed that she has been calling it a name. I couldn't figure it out until today she grabbed it and said, "Come on, Alexis!" It sounds more like Awexis. It is too cute!!
I love being a mom!!! I think I can speak for Andrew by saying he loves being a dad!! Our lives are complete with our two little Angels!!

Amazing weekend!

Friday morning Robyn, one of my recruits, and I flew out to St Louis Missouri to attend Pampered Chef's spring Launch. I was super nervous about leaving the kids but knew they were in good hands with daddy.
Our flights went great. My director, Carol, picked us up at the airport then took us to dinner and show at the Fox Theater. I had never been to the fox before. It was so amazing. We watched a show called Priscilla, Queen Of the Desert. I loved the production and music. The storyline wasn't exactly my cup of tea lol. It was about drag queens lol.
Saturday we all had an amazing time at Spring launch. We laughed, cried, cheered, danced, and just had an amazing time! I am so inspired and super pumped to apply what I learned to my business. I can't wait for our next big convention in September.
Saturday evening we ate dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. The food was so good!! I definitely enjoyed all the good food this weekend. My diet starts back today!
Yesterday morning My parents, Sarah and Justin picked us up and we ate lunch with them at Gus's Pretzel shop then we spent some time walking around Cabalas, then to the airport. Our flights went smooth.
Yesterday Andrew left for Cordova Alaska so we just missed each other. He won't be back till the 18th, Which is a total bummer! I miss my honey so much! I was so glad to see my kids though. They were here at the house waiting with the babysitter for me. When Lexie seen me she starting yelling "daddy daddy daddy!" (Remember she doesn't call me mommy" Lance hugged and hugged me all night. He kept telling me how much he loved and missed me. It was pretty sweet. At bedtime We all got into mine and Andrew's bed and snuggle up! It was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend.

Here are a few pictures from this weekend. The first is Jean Jonas and me
The second is my director Carol being recognized for being number 8 (out of all the people there) for recruiting.

Also I was honored to be featured in our February's addition of Consultant new!
